The Problem
Invoices, receipts, and contracts arrive as "scan001.pdf". Someone has to open each one, figure out what it is, rename it, and save it somewhere sensible.
How It Works
- 01New email
- 02List attachments
- 03Gemini reads the file
- 04Gemini names it
- 05Save to Drive
- 06Log in Sheets
- 07Email notification
What I Built
- Watches Gmail and pulls every attachment from new emails
- Uploads each file to Google Gemini so the AI reads the actual content
- Gemini generates a clear, consistent file name based on what's inside
- Saves the renamed file to Google Drive
- Logs each file in Google Sheets and sends an email notification

What Was Tricky
Naming a file from its email subject is unreliable. Having Gemini analyze the file itself means a receipt is named as a receipt even when the email just says "see attached".
